Suspect Wanted for Robbery and Shooting
(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with Fayetteville Police Departments Robbery Unit have identified and charged the suspect responsible for the personal armed robbery and shooting that occurred on September 1, 2017 at the Roadway Inn located at 1957 Cedar Creek Road.
Farron Peter Tilly (W/M, 38 years of age) of the 200 block of W First Street, Parkton, has been charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Felony Possession of Stolen Goods, Felony Assault Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury, and Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.

Detectives are encouraging family and friends of Farron Peter Tilly to have him to turn himself into law enforcement. Detectives also ask that anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Tilly to be cautious and contact law enforcement immediately as he is considered armed and dangerous.
Detectives with the FPD’s Robbery Unit are actively investigating this robbery and are asking the public to come forward with any information.

Robbery and Shooting Investigation
(Fayetteville, NC) – On Friday, September 1, 2017 at approximately 4:14 am, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the Roadway Inn located at 1957 Cedar Creek Road in reference to a report of a personal armed robbery and shooting.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a male suspect was in the parking lot of the Roadway Inn, when he broke the window to the victim’s room. The suspect then gained entry into the room, brandished a weapon, demanded money and began physically assaulting one of the guests in the room. The suspect struck the male victim in the head with a handgun and then shot him in the upper leg, when he did not immediately comply with the suspect’s demands. A female guest in the room was unharmed. The suspect then fled the area in an unknown direction of travel. The victim was immediately transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and is listed in serious condition.
The suspect is described as a White/Hispanic male, ranging 5’08” to 5’10” in height, wearing dark blue clothing, boots, ski mask and a handgun. Detectives with the FPD’s Robbery Unit have obtained surveillance photos from the business and are asking for the public’s assistance with identifying the suspect. The investigation has indicated this was not a random incident
