Homicide Investigation

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at approximately 11:58 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were conducting security checks of area businesses whey they located an occupied stationary vehicle in the parking lot of Smokey Bones Restaurant, located at 1891 Skibo Road. Upon further investigation officers located two males with gunshot wounds inside of the vehicle.  

Medical Personnel were summoned to the scene and one of the males was pronounced deceased on scene. The other male was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.

Detectives with the FPD’s Homicide Unit are currently investigating the homicide and additional information will be released as it becomes available.

The name of the victims are currently being withheld until their immediate families can be notified.

Fayetteville / Cumberland County Crimestoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
