Update to Vandalism Investigation

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Youth Services Unit have identified the two suspects involved in the vandalism that occurred on May 21, 2017 in the Bordeaux Shopping Center.

 

FPD Detectives thank the public for contacting them with numerous tips.

 

This remains an on-going investigation. There is no additional information to release at this time.

 

Vandalism Investigation

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Youth Services Unit are investigating a vandalism that occurred on May 21, 2017 at approximately 6:20 pm in the Bordeaux Shopping Center, along the 1800 block of Owen Drive.

 

The preliminary investigation has revealed two suspects were observed on surveillance video walking behind the shopping center and they were able to gain access to the roof of the shopping center businesses. Once on the roof, the suspects destroyed numerous HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, CO2 tanks, and breaker boxes. The total amount of damage is estimated to be over $42,000.

 

Both suspects were described as white males, approximately 12 – 14 years of age, one with red hair, and the other with brown hair.

 

Detectives with the FPD’s Youth Services Unit are releasing images from the business surveillance system of the suspects in an attempt to identify them.
